Reiki is a gentle yet powerful technique for stress reduction, deep relaxation and healing. It’s based on the Japanese concept of ki, or life force energy -- the same vital energy known in other cultures as prana, chi, lung or ti, and often referred to as the biofield in scientific terms. It’s the subtle, energetic essence that flows through all living things -- what I often call the "vital breath of life."
During a Reiki session, this universal energy flows through my hands into you. I’m not using my own energy -- instead, I serve as a conduit for the universal life force energy. This ensures there’s no personal energy transfer, and no risk of harm. The energy knows exactly where to go, supporting your body, mind and spirit in returning to balance.
Reiki is not a religion, and it doesn’t require you to follow any specific belief system. It’s a spiritual practice in the sense that it offers compassion, peace and unconditional love -- but it has no dogma and doesn’t conflict with any faith or worldview.
People from all walks of life, including those with religious backgrounds and those without, have found Reiki to be a deeply supportive and transformative experience.
Reiki supports healing on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Over the years, it has been used to assist with:
It’s also a wonderful complement to conventional medical care. Reiki can increase the effectiveness of other treatments, reduce unwanted side effects and speed up recovery time.
For example, according to outcome measurements obtained during the pilot phase of Hartford Hospital’s Integrative Medicine program (Connecticut, 1999–2000), patients receiving Reiki reported improved sleep (86%), reduced pain (78%), reduced nausea (80%) and reduced anxiety during pregnancy (94%). These figures represent program data collected from patient self-reports at the hospital’s clinical integrative medicine department. Hartford Hospital Integrative Medicine outcomes (Reiki)
In psychotherapy, Reiki often enhances the healing of emotional trauma and can gently support clients as they process deep-rooted patterns.
Note: Reiki is a complementary practice and not a replacement for medical care. Results can vary from person to person.

Reiki is a gift -- one that continues to unfold long after the session ends.
I offer both in-person and distant Reiki sessions, so you can receive healing energy no matter where you are. Each session is tailored to your needs and held in a safe, supportive environment where you can relax and receive fully.
If you're feeling called to work with Reiki energy yourself, I offer Reiki training for those ready to bring this healing modality into their own lives -- for personal growth, self-healing or to support others.
Once attuned, you can begin using Reiki on yourself, loved ones, pets, plants, food -- even situations. Reiki is a powerful practice of service and self-care.
I teach small group classes to ensure every student receives personal attention and guidance. Training is offered at the following levels:
